Selected work

A few brands we are working on.

We show what we actually do. Selected, not staged, and honest about where each stands: some just begun, some further along.

Project 01

Lawrence & Mayo Boutique. A house that has stood the test of time.

Founded in 1877, turning 150 in 2027, and the work of keeping it a leader for the next hundred years.

The brief

Lawrence & Mayo has shaped how India sees, and is seen, since 1877. In 2027 it turns 150. Few brands anywhere have stood that long, and fewer still have stayed relevant doing it. The question we were brought in to explore is a rare and serious one: what must a house this old do now, so that a hundred years from here it is not only still standing, but still leading? The boutique division, four stores across four cities, is where that question is put to its sharpest test, a presence that has to feel as considered and rare as the eyewear it sells.

The work underway

The ambition

A 150-year-old house that feels as vital now as it did in 1877, and a brand built to lead for another hundred years.

Project 02

Tarrit. Menswear built on restraint.

Premium menswear from Tiruppur, built on material honesty and the confidence to leave things out.

The brief

Tarrit is a premium menswear brand from Tiruppur, built on a simple belief: clothing should support who a man is, not ask him to become someone else. Founded on material honesty and quiet confidence, it needed creative direction and a voice to match that philosophy. No noise, no excess, nothing performed. X Studios came in as a close collaborator from the start, to build the brand’s creative system from the inside.

The work underway

The ambition

One point of view, clear enough to hold across product, editorial, and social without wavering, and a brand that grows without ever raising its voice.

Project 03

UNmoda. Streetwear, taken back to its roots.

The world’s first streetwear built for women. Born in India, rooted in what street has always meant: identity, expression, and a coming together of the overlooked.

The goal

UNmoda came to X Studios with one ambition: to launch a world-class streetwear label out of India. The worn path was there for the taking, New York street culture, LA surf, the references every streetwear brand borrows. We turned away from it, and went back to what “street” has always meant: an identity, a platform for expression, a coming together of the marginalised, the suppressed, and the exploited, to make and to lead change. That idea, not a coastline in America, became the foundation of the brand.

What we delivered

What it achieved

Working from Tiruppur gives us access and insight no studio in London or Sydney could have. We understand the material, the supply chain, and the market, all at once. In this industry, that is rare.

X Studios, on how we work

How we work

Four steps, and nothing skipped.

01

Conversation

We start by understanding your brand, your goals, and your constraints. Honestly, and without a sales agenda.

02

Diagnosis

We work out what you actually need, which is not always what the brief says, then scope accordingly.

03

Build

One team, one point of view. Delivered in phases, with nothing signed off until it is right.

04

Handover

We hand over finished, usable work, and stay close as it goes live, so the thinking survives contact with the real world.
